RAFFLES & FAIRMONT DOHA

Doha’s first 6 star hotel

Rising above the waterfront of Lusail Marina, the twin towers of Katara form one of Doha’s most striking new landmarks. Each curve of the architecture is designed to command attention, inspired by Qatar’s crossed scimitars and the nation’s vision for the future.

The Raffles side occupies the ultra-luxury all-suite wing, while Fairmont offers a refined but expansive hotel experience.

If luxury for you means suites with unreachable views, butlers on call and an all-suite ethos, Raffles is the one to choose. If you prefer luxury with a broader scope of amenities, dining options and spaces that still feel exclusive but slightly more accessible, Fairmont is a fantastic option.

Together, they represent the pinnacle of hospitality in Doha.

Finest Ultra-Luxury

Walking into Raffles Doha, I was immediately struck by the grandeur of the entrance and the sheer scale of the lobby. The design is lavish yet controlled, with a sense of regal elegance that feels more like stepping into a modern palace than a hotel. The suites themselves live up to the promise: rich textiles, carved ceilings, thoughtfully designed living- and dining-areas, and breathtaking views over the Arabian Gulf.

One of the standout features is the personalised service. Each guest enjoys 24-hour butler service, access to an in-suite boutique, and a lifestyle tailored to their stay — a level of attention I found truly memorable. The all-suite concept means that comfort, privacy and sophistication are at the core of the experience. Dining at Raffles also deserves special mention. One of the signature venues is Alba, a contemporary Italian restaurant inspired by northern Italy’s celebrated flavours and rare white truffles. The setting is refined and the cuisine crafted to impress.

On the other side of the same landmark building stands Fairmont Doha, offering its own style of luxury. From the moment I entered the lobby, with its towering chandelier and ocean-facing vistas, I could tell this hotel was designed to impress. The interiors reflect yacht-like elegance: sleek design, curated materials, and views that stretch over Lusail Marina and the Arabian Gulf. Both properties reached a level of luxury that I can confidently say were among the most impressive I have ever experienced. At Raffles, the scale, the design and the personalised service combined to create a true VIP feeling — from arrival until departure. At Fairmont, I found comfort, elegance and a setting that delivers on luxury without excess.
